I'm leaning toward Valentine 1 - primarily because it shows WHERE signal is coming from. Any reason I should not get it? If not - then what? Budget is $400.
^^^ That`s an amazing unit. I have the Escort 9500iX and it has saved my ass a few times...especially with laser.
Valntine is a great radar. That being said I have an Escort 9500ix and its been great, I'm not one to be huge over the speed limit, but cruising at 80-85 on my long drive to work it has saved me several times. Updates all the time through the computer and soon here I have a rally to Chicago and back and so we'll see how it does on that trip as well.
V1 > anything else out there. No gimmicks, easy to use, best all around detector in my opinion. It has paid for itself countless times.
Both detectors are very good but to me you need to include radar Jamers to be fully protected. I run a 9500ci am it is great. It's a few years old but escort has since updated the Jamers.
