    Hello,

I am new to this forum and I have a question:

I have always owned and maintained black car, now I am buying 2008 Ford ShelbyGT500KR Silver Metallic, I am considering using the following products, I am trying to achieve a deep wet insanly glossy finish.

    1) Zaino Z2 Pro--- 1st layer polish
    2) Zaino Z8 ----2nd
    3) Pinnacle sigII -- 3rd layer wax
4)Jeffs Werkstatt acrylic jet -- 4th layer sealant.

Does this sound good or is there a better way, please advise and thank you

Sweet car, cant wait to see the pictures of it.

When it comes to your last step process (waxes, sealants, etc.) they really only play a very small role in achieving the proper finish. Its all about proper prep. So polishing the paint and removing all imperfections and finishing with a finishing polish to bring out all the gloss. I believe there is always something to be had with new cars. Theres no telling how much polishing the paint will need until you pick up the car. So cant give you too much advice there.

Im assuming this isnt going to be your daily driver. So if it was me, Id definitely put a wax on there and no sealants. If SSII is the only wax you have, then Id stick that on there.

Oh and z2 isnt a polish, its a sealant.

You can put a wax over a sealant but not the other way around. So your plan for 3 and 4 won't work. Have you already purchase the items you mention or are you planning on purchasing them?

No, I Have Not Bought Anything, I Am Totally Open On What To Use As I Am New To Silver Paint, I Have Wolfgang Sealant And Pinnacle Souvern At Home Currently.

I Just Dont Know What To Use On A Silver Car To Achieve A Super Wet Extremely Glossy Finish.

I Assume Since It Is New I Won't Need To Clay Bar Or Prep The Paint?

Actually you may very well need to clay and possibly a light polish. Only after inspecting will you be able to determine that.

One thing I would strongly recommend is Danase Wet Glaze.

    Super Wet - Autopia.org

This is Ultima UPGP with Danase Wet Glaze on silver.

Werkstatt also looks very good on silver.

    Maybe:

    1) Prime Acrylic as a base coat

    2) DWG x 2

    3) Acrylic Jet Trigger x 2

I like to top a sealant with a carnauba and then top the carnauba with Z8 for the extra "bling".

08GT500KR, I encourage you to browse both the pro and non-pro show and shine sub-forums. That'll really give you an idea of the whole process as well as provide pics so you can get some sort of idea as to what you can expect.

Where ya located? I look forward to seeing your results for sure.

I have had really good luck with 1Z Glanz Wax on silver, it gives a very nice gloss while still retaining a lot of reflective sharpness.

As it has been said before however, it is the polished finish that gives the overall finish, the LSP is really only an enhancement.

+1 for IZ Glanz. Also, you might consider FK 425 QD for a final wipe down.

I would skip steps 3 and 4 and maybe add a ZPC polishing step first.

    ZPC
    Z2p
    Z8

This is a perfect procedure for silver IMHO.
