What's your favorite microfiber detergent? I tried the Chemical Guys cleaner and it worked well but I'm out now and have been using TIDE but I don't like it as well.

I was using Microrestore but recently tried Sonus Der Wonder Wasche and really like it. Only down side is that it only comes in a 16oz size.

I could not tell a difference in the OUTCOME of using either chemical guys or microrestore. BOTH of these have given me superior results than store based detergents such as tide.

    Cheers,

I use CG MF Wash, have a gallon. Only thing is that for stains a presoak is a must- not sure if its the washer but its HE Certified which I thought that it meant less water was used hence a stronger soap (less diluted).

Tide is safe, but just to be sure get Tide Free- nothing added to it and no fragrance.

Same here I have used both and both did a great job in cleaning my microfibers. A gallon of CG microfiber detergent can be had for like $20 which to me was an excellent deal

+3 for Chemical Guys Microfiber Cleaner in the gallon. Tried the other one, cant really tell the difference, and I get C/Guys sometimes cheaper, so its my go-to for microfiber cleaning

I like CG's stuff too...but I'm wondering if there's any sort of microfiber detergent you can use that can be bought OTC, just for practicality's sake. I use Tide (no fragrance, etc.) on my grunge work microfibers if I have a load of them to do but with the ones I use for drying/buffing I like to actually use a microfiber specific detergent, they stay softer longer and absorb more water, or at least so it seems to me.

+1 for CG's MF detergent. I also throw in 1oz of 1Z Blitz for the dirtier towels.

I've never really used any microfiber specific detergent. I use tide free and gentle which can be bought anywhere and works pretty well. Never see any side effects

Keep using Tide free and gentle or All Free for the generic microfibers

I have yet to try this but I am going to since I have Zep Citrus and use it alot

I must've used too much Zep Citrus the time I tried it. I had to rinse the towels so many times I lost count to get the residue off.

I've been filling a 5 gallon bucket with a scoop of tide and water, and allowing the towels to soak overnight.

Can you imagine if someone came out with a microfiber cleaner that would remove all stains etc? They would be bathing in cash.

I have some of the Snappy pad cleaner: Lake Country Snappy Clean Pad Cleaner | Detailed Image

I wonder if I can soak my towels a bit in it and then wash them. Does anyone use this stuff, can I put a little Snappy in the washer with the towels? Does anyone here have any issues with using their home washer to wash microfibers with max residue on them? I have thought about going up to my local laundromat, since there is one at the top of my street but I don't really trust people.

I presoak stains with CG all clean, then in the washer I use regular tide with a splash of Zep citrus. Extra rinse cycle with distilled white vinegar, then dried on low-no heat with the dryer balls.

My micros come out excellent every time.
