Hey guys just looking for recommendations on the softest plushest micro fiber/waffle weave cloth to dry and detail my newly painted black car with. I don't want to put scratches in the new paint when I am drying it or removing product. I usually follow the 2 bucket wash method and use separate wash mittens for the upper and lower portions of the car. I am also about to order the Gilmore II foam gun and some other supplies. Please list your personal preferences for drying, glass cleaning, product removal and general cleaning thanks.....

There are a bunch of options. I use:

For quick detail, I recommend either Paksahak ultra smooth or ultra plush, these (my favorite for the price): 16"x16" Extra Plush Terry 530gsm Microfiber Towels - Blue (pack of 10) , or Eurow shags

For drying, either the showroom FX towel, or the Chemical Guys Miracle dryer, both are excellent in my experience

I'm sure others will chime in.

So its a repaint? So hopefully not as soft a clear as stock. I really like the pakshak waffle weaves, not the ultra soft ones. I also like the ones Phil has. I would suggest buying an electric leaf blower to get a lot of the water off first, then just some touch ups with the waffle weaves.

    I got a metallic black M3 and I use:

2 of these for drying (I only pat dry with them and use my metro vac n blo) MICROFIBER DRYER TOWEL
a bunch of these for product removal on paint SASQUATCH MAXIMUS HAIR RAISING MAXIMUM STASH MICROFIBERS  (1 Pack)
for glass cleaning/door jambs/wheels/engine I use the cheap yellow MF's from Costco.

The foam gun is a definite must in my opinion for black. I love using it. DP Xtreme foam works great in it and smells good too. For washing I tend to use only the Uber yellow sponges. I got a whole stack of them.

For washing I use grout sponges from lowes for now, wifes brand new car is still flawless after two years.
