Hello Everyone, first time poster. Had some questions I'd like to ask you all if you don't mind. I recently purchased a 2011 Infiniti QX56 in a color they call Dark Curant, kinda a purple/maroon looking color. Anyhow, it has a few minor scratches, swirls, bugs on the front, and water marks that I am wanting to fix the best I can. The problem is, I have never done anything like this before. I have searched around my area calling detailers etc and can't find anyone who does compound and polish's, so I am left to fend for myself, hence the reason I am here. If you guys could give me kind of a rundown on the order things should happen and possibly give me suggestions on what to buy. From what I've been reading, it looks like I will need an orbital polisher, and I'm thinking Meg's M105 and M205 for the compound and polish. I'd also like some suggestions for washing as well, shampoos, foam guns, wash mitts, waxes, sealants, glazes, whatever else I will need.
