Excellent post. thnx Just wanted to add that no matter how well a car is detailed. When trading it in, if the car has been in a big accident (>$3000 in damges) I found it hard to negotiate a higher trade in price even if it was well detailed. At least in my experience, they don't care how the car looked. (should have sold it privately)
