What's up everyone! Man it has been almost 2 years since I've been on this forum. I remember when it was brand spanking new! I'm gonna read up on what all the new goodies that everyone is using now. I've been in school and finally finishing up my last semester in RN school and during my recent break I've been detailing friends cars and it feels good again! I still have Phil's (from DD) Metabo that he sold me back in the day with the 3M backing plate and all works perfectly fine. Still using the SIP & 106FF combo, but it looks like their is a new 1 step my Menzerna that I might have to try out. Fill me on the products I should be looking at. I hope all the OG's are still here. Have a Great day everyone! -Neil:kilt:
Welcome back! I've been back to school since last spring pursuing firefighting/paramedic, so I feel your pain there. RN schoolwork must have been a bear. I'll throw one exciting new product development out there for you to read up on: super-sealants. There is a new breed of lsp out there that is more or less clear-coat that you apply to the car. Beading is awesome, gloss is good, and durability is outstanding. That is an oversimplification of these products, but read up on the following brands and you can fill in the rest of the story: Opti-Coat (Optimum Polymer Technology) Cquartz (CarPro) Gtechniq (Gtechniq) Have fun.:thumb:
WB Neil!!!! Congrats on RN school. Optimum Opti Coat Meg's 105 and 205. AutoGlym products Sonax products PakShak towels CQuartz Thats what I can think of off hand right now.
THANKS!! I've heard about the 105/205 i'm looking for post on it now..whats your take on it vs the menzerna combo? have u used that new 1 step they offer...i think its called Power Finish? How are you btw? Wheres Nica, F-minus, Phil and them!
Hey Neil. Menzerna still makes some quality products thats for sure. Power Finish is another nice product from them. Its kinda between SIP and 106. I think the Meg's twins are pretty tough to beat. I would buy those two before the Menzerna. I would still get PO85RD though. Alot of guys are also using 3M UltraFina. Doing good. Just had deviated septum surgery friday. Getting better. Sent you a pm.
I'm pretty open to trying the Megs combo, seeing as I do this as a hobby its also great to try new stuff and see which yeild better results. 85rd is magical isnt it? I think i might have to add those 2 products to my soon. Thanks for the fast reply
Welcome back and congrats on the school thing. While you were away Phil purchased DB and Nica moved on to another endeavor. Power Finish is some good stuff . As far as 105/205 combo alot like it.
