I'm having trouble with this stuff. It doesn't seem to glide as nicely as my other shampoos. Any advice?

hmm. Iliked it. I use it with the Paint Decon Kit. I really don't have any advice on it though, except don't use too much soap:water ratio.

I have two 500mL bottles on my shelf completely unopened. I keep meaning to try it, supposed to be pH neutral and is a wash & wax soap!

I'll try it this week-end and I'll post my experience.

Im curious to your take on it. I have always used Adams Shampoo and absolutely love it. I use a light mix and it literally feels very slick when washing the car.

I tried AG because it happened to catch my eye while I was in Pep Boys buying a wheel brush.

I tried it this past weekend, and really didnt like it. No foamy enough. I like a good foam.

    Ill await your opinion.:giterdone:

TBH, some of the cleanest rinsing soaps have little to no foam. For example, CL-68 shampoo has hardly any suds at all, but has to be the cleanest rinsing soap I have ever used.

And sometimes, that can be more important than foam.

I agree, but the coupled with the foam is a wet sudsy "frothing" that I like as well. Should have been more clear.

I remember reading about this suds vs. no suds or slick vs. slack on DW. The amount of suds and lubricity a shampoo produces has little bearing on the cleaning ability or the ability to prevent marring. I bought some Autosmart Bodywork Shampoo at a local detail shop and at first was highly disappointed: no real suds, did not feel as lubricious as I would like, and just did not feel like it was up to the task. However, the more I used it, the more I realized that it did a fantastic job of cleaning even the most dirty of paints, rinsed well, and no marring was left behind even on my soft black paint.

I don't have a technical knowledge of the composition of shampoos, I just thought that I would relate my recollection.

The AG soap doesn't foam very well as at the time it was developed, you could have lots of foam OR a glossing agent. AG chose the glossing agent. As the hands of time turn slooooooowly at AG, I wouldn't expect the formula to change anytime soon. It isn't very slick compared to todays soaps but it does clean well and rinses clean very easily. As my AG rep said, "foam is for people who can't remember where they have washed!" LOL

Hi guys, I tried using the Autoglym Shampoo over the week-end on my own car. Did a pre-soak with my Gilmour Foam Gun using 4 capfuls of product and the rest with water, using on setting C. Produced almost no suds...any suds that were there almost immediately disappeared. Then added 4 capfuls of product into my wash bucket and filled it with 3 gallons of water. It produced suds in the bucket but offered virtually zero suds during the wash.

It seemed to clean well and it was super easy to rinse off, and I liked the glossing agent that bonds to the vehicle...seems to bond quickly and easily and offers enhanced water beading during and after the wash.

It definitely made the drying process easier but I would have liked to see more suds, because it just feels like doing an ONR wash. As Ken said, I think this product just suffers from age. I just got my order in from Ken, and part of the order was Werkstat Auto Body Wash and Bilt Hamber Auto Wash. Really looking forward to trying the BH Auto Wash, only 5mL of soap needed!
