Autogeek just picked up Chemical Guys

They are like a black hole. I think that concludes every detailing brand on the face of the planet.

 

I recently heard about it as well. Checked out the site. No gallons yet. Either way,probably wont get my CG fix from them. Being a smalltime detailer,I prefer to give my money to the smaller retailers. That place is like the Walmart of detailing supplies. I have never had a bad experience with them at all,just sayin.If i cant get product through Phil,Ken or Ranney,I probably dont need it anyways.LOL

 

Remember when they would block it out if you wrote chemical guys on their forum.

 

How about when the would block out Menzerna!!!

 

or any other product they didn't sell, but then would pollute the forums with advertising when they eventually saw the light and picked it up.

 

I don't have anything against CG, but DAMN, Autogeek just riles me the FOOK UP! Cannot stand those fools.

 

Walmart of the detailing for sure, they literally grab up everything except really true professional brands. I give them props for constantly making people buy detailing products.

 

Further proving the integrity of other, better retailers out there.

 

I have nothing against ag. Just their service and pathetic forum. Great prices tho.

 

Rather buy direct from CG, had 2 terrible experiences with AG and will never buy from them again. Their forum is a joke, on a thread about shampoo I posted CG made some of favorites, I got a response of "you have some balls posting shit that AG doesn't sell or promote" I buy from Phil, and CG. I will never give them another penny of my money

 

I remember the post over at AG about CG talk being frowned upon.

I was posting some threads about GTechniq over there and was PM'd politely asking me to not mention the GTech line No Mo.

Maybe one of the big dawgs of detailing could make a couple of posts about Armor All and how unbelievably great it is!! Maybe they will start stocking it? They wouldnt see that coming. LOL

 

I thought we had freedom of speech.... or that doesn't apply on the internet or AG forum? I think it's BS if we can't talk about products we like just because someone doesn't carry it. Wtf is that...

 

..because of the forum, I'm less and less interesting in buying from AG. and I buy more and more from CG.

However, AG has an edge on discount vs other detailing online store. Free shipping over 95$.. sometimes 10-15, even 20% + free shipping.. it's very hard to beat.

 

Sure those prices are great, I used to have alot of great hardware and lumber stores around here(got great deals because I shopped there often, the owners greet me by name and answer all questoins I have),Home Depot and Lowes springs up, puts them out. Im now in the faceless crowd trying to gather my work supplies where time is money,and Im stuck behind some clown trying to figure out if he can carry plywood on the top of his prius. I like the smaller operations,its a better price in the end.

 

here is what I have learned, just because AG has it posted does not mean most other places cannot get it, if you want something and don't see it on Phil's site or what not, ASK, i bet you he can get it, and even at a competitive price.

It pays to ask, it may be a few bucks more then AG, but you are supporting a sponsor, and someone that you feel comfortable buying from. Its not always about the price folks.

 

I personally got over 1k$ of free stuff from AG. I never had a bad experience with them and I ordered over 40 times from them in the last 3 years. JUST SAYING.. so to me, i get good price and good service, my only grip is their communist forum.

 

the communist forum is enough to deter me from buying from them...... I am a strong believer of a free economy, none of this "do what I say. buy from only me" bullshit.

my dignity is worth more then a discount. Sorry. LOL

 

They do that with 3D/HD and used to do it with Blackfire (*********) too until they bought the brand.
