Auto Glym HD Wax

Went to Wally World tonight and was surprised to see a single box of AGHD sitting on the shelf.



Pretty much just looking for different kinds of products from a few specific manufacturers.

Such as:
- Wolf's Chemicals
- Menzerna
- Dodo Juice
- Prima

Also looking for a 3" or 5" backing plate for my PC7424XP and new/lightly used uber pads (yellow or green)

or im always open to Riccardo Clay if you have any.

Willing to work with trade+cash

 

I have the 3" Uber backing plate I have for sale it works for both the PCXP and rotary since it comes with the adapter I bought it from Phil. PM me if your interested in it. (see link below for pics) I used to use it on my PCXP and Makita but I sold the PCXP and am also selling my Makita to get the Festool Shinex and since it runs an M14 thread I can use it anymore. I dont need anymore AG HD because I have 2 pots in the fridge one 95% full and the other brand new.

Oh wow, I didn't see that. It looks like DD.com stopped carrying it. I used to have one, but it walked off somewhere

Could someone fill me in with what makes AGHD a big deal? My local Canadian Tire has few boxes of the stuff on the shelf, is it worth picking up?

 

Its just a good carnauba that protects for a bit longer than other carnaubas since its a hybrid so your get slickness, depth, and clarity and for the price its great. I say give it a go you will be happy you did, plus a little goes a long way just apply it with hot water to keep the applicator pad wet during application as suggested by Autoglym. It goes on really easy this way and prevents you from over applying. I have used it twice on my mustang gt and I still have 95% of my first pot left.

it used to be in the 50.00 range, its a very good quality product and looks fantastic, once it went clearance at the stores it sort of lost its "status" IMO, I still like it, but I prefer 1z glanz now............

 

I remember when I first saw it at walmart ages ago (well, not too long ago) it was brand new to the store and cost $35. I kinda figured if it was that much at Walmart of all places, then it must be good! I like it and use it along with other waxes.

I ditched their wax applicators though (while they are good). I just pop it out of the tub and wipe it on a pad with my PC attached to it. I have to use a microfiber glove with it or else it starts melting in my hand LOL

 

Excellent product, unfortunately succumbed to the same de-valuation that plagues the rest of the industry with products already priced 'right'.

 

Great easy to use worth the price great results wax. That is all.

 

Well with all of these positive experiences, any takers? LOL

 

In Pep Boys today I saw a separate display full of AG HD priced at $39.95. Maybe it's making a comeback.
