I missed the deadline on last month's entry, so here I go again. This time I'm going to enter the GMC Envoy I did last week...here goes: This vehicle was a challenge, both inside and out. Typical hard, hard GM clear. I used the same X3/foamed wool combo to remove scratches although a nasty one on the hood got wet sanded. D@mn, never ceases to amaze me the condition some folks keep the interior of their car in. Nice work!!!
Any pros out there have a b*tchslap clause? Something like, "Here is your nice, pristinely detailed, both inside and out, car. As I pocket your payment let me remind you that should you return the vehicle in a state similar to or worse than the one when you first entrusted it to my care, my colleague Ivan, he's in that gimp cage in the back of the garage, will promptly backhand you before my work begins." Seriously though, many of the interiors displayed in show & shines are such 180s that I would be so immensely disappointed if a customer brought it back and it was in bad shape or worse again. I guess that'd make it a 360. It's my aversion to interior detailing somone ELSE'S car that I think is really holding me back from wanting to make some $$$ on the side. So, bravo and kudos to you richy for peeling away the layer of mung that covered that interior; I've not forgotten the exterior. :thumb: The same goes to all you other detailers that do such a stellar job on the interior. I'd have to like you a whole lot, be an immediate family member, or be compensated immensely to even consider cleaning an interior other than my own.
With carting around 2 kids, I completely understand how interiors get to the stage they are. I just won't do puke or anything like that!
Yes, kids can do a number on a vehicle, I agree. But great turn around richy, good luck on the competition :cheerl:
