Are the clear film installs that difficult? I've been very tempted to buy the stuff myself and wrap my own front bumper.

Are they forgiving or is it once it's down its down? Is there a special adhesion promoter required or is it just water?

you have a bit of time to work on the film but once its tacked down its done for the most part.

You can lay the film across the paint with the installation gel underneath and it's workable. stretching and moving is necessary espeically it is a precut kit. if there isnt enough gel it can get tacky so you have to watch all areas while working. Once you squeegee the gel and alcohol/water out from under the film it's down. sure you can pull it up but you really risk compromising the film and creating stretch marks, "silvering", or other blemishes. so basically, yes once it squeegeed/tacked down it is set.

Thanks! I've considered taking the front bumper off of my TSX and giving this a try, I figure with some patience I could make it happen

you will probably be better off leaving the bumper on to do the film, it will be hard to tack it down off the bumper, trust me we have tried.

As in hard to apply pressure to the bumper to force adhesion?
