Hi Everyone, So I got the detail bug lately and decided to book in a car to get 'my fix' since it's winter here. This one was just.....dirty? LOL. :shakehead: Let see, it had: pet hair, leftover food, little stones, debris, grass, and stains. What more could you ask for that you would really want to clean up? :shead: Before - Trunk Area (ALWAYS remove the license plate, never know what's lurking behind there) Before - Front End (Again, remove the plates) Before - Engine Bay Before - Trunk (Transporting Grass, Got Grass?) After - Trunk (Smoked The Grass) Before - Driver's Side (You have seriously got to make an effort to get the interior into this shape) Dead Pedal Looking...Dead. Oh look, pet hair and a USED band-aid folded up. Always wear gloves. After - Driver's Side No More Pet Hair or Used Band-Aid Before - Passenger Side Who wants to recline the seat with this stuff lurking near the handle? After - Passenger Side Now you can recline the seat Before - Glove Box aka Make Shirt Garbage Bin Before - Center Console After - Center Console Before - Floor Mats After - Floor Mats Before - Rear Seating Area After - Rear Seating Area Before - Clean MF Towel After - Dirty MF Towel After Cleaning ONLY The Steering Wheel After - Steering Wheel Area 50/50 - Arm Rest. Top Half Not Cleaned, Bottom Half Cleaned After - Arm Rest After - Center Dash During - Wheel Cleaning (Even the hub caps get cleaned, I didn't dismount them because the lug nuts sandwich them to the rim) Sorry, No Exterior Shots But It Was Cleaned. Too Little Time. Thank you for taking the time to view and comment. :thumb:
good grief........ who is the slob who owns that? make sure you enter that detail into this month contest.......... wow. awesome turnaround
I'm surprised that someone that would let there cars get like that would actually want a detail....pretty disgusting
Great job buddy. I see what you meant a few months ago...you really get nasty interiors! YUCK! You got my vote! :thumb:
Did you keep the seats installed? I'm assuming you did judging by the pictures. How long did it take you?
my goodness. I felt sick looking at those before pictures. What a difference though! you made that car look brand new.
Super job! Looks like the customer NEVER cleaned the car since it was driven off the new car lot. lol
WOW that's an unbelievable turnaround! It didn't look like it can be salvaged but you made it look NEW! Great job!!! How did you clean the carpets that well? Did you just use a vacuum or an extractor? Also, what do you do to your MFs that you use to wipe down those disgusting interior pieces? Do you throw them away after use or do you rewash them again? Those MFs have got to be gross and extremely filthy.
Thank you Karl. I think it was a habitat to stray animals and the owner fed them leftover fries and chips...haha. I'll be sure to enter the contest. =) I know eh? Think of what their house interior looks like! Maybe they just got sick of it themselves and couldn't even stand their own mess? Thanks Hamza. haha, thank you for the vote Joey. Make a trip out West and let's do a car together! I'll be sure to enter it. Thank you tfish and men have the cleaniest but dirtiest rooms...haha. generally speaking...=p thanks josh. yes, i kept the seats in b/c i didn't have ample time to remove and re-install. ideally you would like to remove the seats b/c it allows you easy access to the entire floor. it took me 6+ hours interior alone. vacuuming was the worst b/c of all the pet hair. i made sure there was none left. i probably have hair balls in my vacuum bucket...lol Thank you P1et. I was inspired by your detail on a subaru outback (i think) that you recently did. I wish I had time to remove the seats also...=( thank you eric. you have no idea how many times i sneezed during this detail...haha...i don't like pet hair that much awesome! thank you for the vote and comment. yeah, it's a 2009 and in this condition! (*pulls out hair). thank you Brian. thank you Marc. i had to vac and extract the carpets and floor mats and seats. i couldn't leave it to just vac. too risky and the end result wouldn't look good. it definitely took a long time getting all the little debris and hair. i can't afford to throw away MF towels...haha...too much waste and cost. with that said, i also can't afford to buy the wife a new washing machine if I wreck her's. i clean them out before tossing them into the washing machine. i re-use them but they are clean after washing. thanks for viewing and commenting Drew.
Do extract all the seating surfaces as well? Or just a spot treatment? Horrible interior for it being 2009... Great save!
That was one of those rollercoaster rides where you go up and down, again and again. Seeing the before pics I felt sick to my stomach, then immediately felt better with the after pic. Then BAM down to hell and then ahhhh bliss. Repeat that 10x and you exit the coaster yelling "that was a hell of a ride! Lets do it again!"
Jesus that was a mess! Great turn around though! Makes you wonder what their house looks like inside :gasp:
Their houses probably look the same or worse. I hope you charged accordingly. Six hours on an interior is tedious work. Sent directly from my brain.
