    Hi Guys,

So the owner of this vehicle saw the work that I had done on his co-workers GTI, and wanted to give my services a try.

He is going to purchase a new vehicle and wanted this one cleaned up before giving to his father. Obviously a son can't give his father a soiled vehicle now, can he? :shead:

This vehicle had the most number of floor mats that I have ever encountered in a vehicle, there were FOUR floor mats per seat in the vehicle...lol...16 floor mats total...:yikes:

The vehicle had never been detailed before and he wanted to see what I could do to it.

I love those type of challenges, where the client gives you a vehicle and basically says: "let's see what you got"...quite the challenge, eh?

    Well, bring it on! :headbang:

    * There was a considerable amount of rust around the vehicle, there is nothing I could do about that.

    Here we go...

awesome interior cleaning, I hate cleaning interior, that's why I bought a steamer.
isn't it dangerous to have so many carpet?

    thank you for commenting Snooze!

i love interior work. detailers should be well rounded and good at all aspects of detailing. sometimes too much emphasis placed on only paint correction.

i would like to see more engine bays, suspension detailing, etc. the dirty grimy work...haha...:p:

you're correct, that was a lot of carpet on the floor. although it doesn't "slide" around very much, it's still bad. i removed the unnecessary ones and bagged them up in the trunk.

Couldn't agree with you more. Paint correction is hard and is important but interior detailing can be just as challenging. I do a lot of it and frankly i hate it lol

I agree 100%, too much emphasis on the correction aspect, I honestly think interior work is just as if not more important, that is what you are looking at 99% of the time when driving.

    that car was crusty...

Interior work I enjoy the most. Most of my customers keep their interior very clean. So a lot of my work is paint correction.

right on man! at least when you do enough of it, you get really good at it...:headbang:

post up some of your work man, I don't come across much of it on the forum.

thank you Karl. looking forward to pics of your new vehicle. :p:

just like me. i don't know what to do if the client brings me a well maintained interior...lol...i'm lost when that happens, i'm thinking "what do you want me to do with it...it's clean...?"

Thank you P1et. I was following in your footsteps when removing the seats. :thumb:

Nice job Alex. I still can't understand how you enjoy doing interiors in this kind of condition.

Alex, good clean up! 16 mats lol :giggle:

How many hours on the interior? Did you clean up the exterior as well?

thanks Joey! i hope you get some in this condition coming your way soon...haha...you'll enjoy them also! :applause2:

thanks Drew. no exterior on this one, just interior. the outside was rusting around the wheel arches and other areas as well. not just surface rust, but chunks of metal were missing.

i think 7 hours with breaks. :shead:

    thanks, Meg's APC+ and Adam's CUC.

thanks Misha, haven't seen you around on DB for a while. glad to see you posting again. :)
