Astra VXR rally style

Members from Detailing World will recognize this car and post:giggle:

The VXR hasn't been cleaned for about a month now, since I was in the rally mood I didn't want to clean it until the rally was over :lol: so here are some pics before I set off to the Swansea service area last night.

The day after, time to clean the VXR

First up, was interior:




Snowfoam mixed with Duragloss


After a rinse down, car looking much better, but still film of dirt which you can see here(line running at door handle height):



A 2 bucket wash with Duragloss and C&G Citrus Gloss produces this:






1x Coat of Zymol Glasur + 3x coats of Collinite 915 still holding after nearly 3 months :thumb:

I really liked them that flat charcoal color, lol I thought they were painted. Very nice clean up though.

Dont worry, I dont let it get that dirty usually, I wash every weekend when weather permits

 

Good looking cars, they are sold as Saturns here. I don't think they have the VXR edition though!

Nope just a wash, I gave it a clay, Zymol HD cleanse, 1x coat of Zymol Glasur and 3x of Collinite 915 about 3 months ago when I brought the car.

All the prep back then makes cleaning it much easier a few months down the line

 

Looks good. I wish they sold those here in the US just like that. Looks like a fun little car.

yes, it was dirty and needed some cleaning! But it came out beautiful! Lovely color! Collinite 915 is still there, and it must be, as it is a very durable wax. I'd expect it to last there 'till at least March.

 

How does the guy parked behind you get out? Great job. Love those VXRs.

 

It's my Dads car, I just move mine forward to let him out.
