I just finished up my dad's black 335i a couple weeks ago with great results. He was out of town and the car was stuck outside when we had two nights of 40+mph wind.

I start washing the car tonight to find two crappy issues:

•Swirl marks have plastered the top portion of the car. They aren't huge, I mean the car still looks better than pre-detail, but I had the paint at 95%, now it's about 90% just in one storm. I know it wasn't improper washing and drying because I always go front to back with everything. The marks go side to side as well.

•Numerous spots of wax have fallen onto the car. Likely from leaves and branches that fell on the car.

So two questions for you guys:

•I guess PB's EX Sealant and P21S wax were not tough enough.
What do you recommend for a tougher winter sealant and wax?
I've recall reading Collinite is good.
Power Lock is popluar, but I don't recall anyone has really winter tested it.
    Any others?

•What is a safe method for me to remove the wax?
I assume 50/50 IPA will do the trick granted I coat the spot with wax again.

845 is a great sealant for winter. Two coats and your done until the Easter Bunny rolls into town.

why didn't you park it in a garage?
If you are looking for durability, then step up from Poorboy's EX/EX-P to Collinite 845, and do at least 2 layers of it...If you are looking for even better durability - Collinite 476s lasts even longer...again 2 coats for best coverage...

We have 5 cars at my house. Two garage spaces.
Just ordered some Power lock and 845.

Are you saying that the storm caused the swirl marks?
