Hey guy's i've been dressing up my cars engine lately. Thought you might like to check it out. Let me know what you think. Before... And a couple after... And one of the car for good measure. And the rust on the rear rotor has since been cleaned. :giggle:
Post some pic's please. Thanks. Hehe. Thanks man. Ever been to a car show? Everyone wants to see your engine bay. Thanks Bro. Thanks man, that is exactly what I was striving for.
Both of mine are thirdgens. The Grey one is a 91 GTA that Ive had since 95. Its a 305 5sp car with some motor work done. The white one is an 89 Turbo Trans AM. It has the same motor as a Grand National and is a blast to drive. The pictures I had of my 89 are on an old computer and couldnt be recovered from a hard drive crash so Im using this one. Mine looks the same.
I am also a Pontiac nut. Just last fall I sold my 1956 Safari, for those non Pontiac guys, it is a Nomad. My first car was a 77 Trans Am. I have had quite a few TA's and GTO's. I was looking for a 2002 TA when I came across my M3, I really miss the v-8 sound. Nice looking cars guys.
Well I have only put about 20 miles on the TTA. It only had 110 original miles on when I bought it. Kinda sacrilegious to some to even drive it, but that little 3.8 Buick motor just pulls like a bitch when the turbo spools up, and it begs to be driven. I think this summer I will put a few miles on it and enjoy it for what it is. Storing it bores me The GTA isnt the fastest car being a 305 but is still fun for cruising. Nothing better than pullin the T-tops out on a summer night and listening to the music of a V-8. I have had it in storage for the last 10 or so years and just brought it out again last year. With any luck Im hoping to rack up a few more miles on it as well. If I had to pick a fav Id have to say the TTA also. I just wish I would have bought one with a few more miles on it allready. My dad had a couple GTO's when I was a kid. His first one was a blue one, had a 400 with an auto trans and white interior. The second one was a RAIII Judge with a rock crusher 4 speed. That one was Green with white interior. He gets ill watching Barret Jackson and seeing what they go for these days as he sold them both for under 3g back in the late 70's. I tend to rub it in a bit too :cig:
Thanks Heath. I really appreciate it. Cool, got any pics? Can't beat the sound of a V8. I've got an SLP loudmouth 1 catback system on mine.
I think they all look Great ! If I had to choose I would have to take the White One...very nice !!:thumb:
I have never been sentimental so I have very few pics. All are on film. And with me not being a computer guy, it's really hard. I have a digital camera now, but I still haven't figured out how to post pics of my work. Go figure.
