Anything I need to know about carbon fiber BMW roofs?

So, I'm making my return to detailing as a side business this weekend, after working on my wife's new car and having so much fun. :) This weekend's subject is a BMW M6 coupe, Sapphire Black. It belongs to a client of mine I did four or five cars for back in the day. This car has a carbon fiber roof, so I got to wondering if there was anything special I needed to know before doing any correction on it. My plan of attack is to stick with my DA, mostly because the machine is so much lighter than my Makita rotary, and if I can avoid putting something heavy on that roof, that's great.

Anyway, if folks have words of wisdom, I'm all ears. Thanks!

As far as I know they use the same clear on the carbon as they do on the rest of the car. I've never had a problem with the M's roofs.

Just like plastic/fiberglass, carbon fiber will just get warm quicker than metal does. Other than that, carry on as usual :thumb:
