I have been thinking about a TV show and was wondering if anyone knew of someone I could pitch it to? Anyone have any connections? It would be a "Speed Channel" type show
Well here are just a few pointers to you. My family owns a warehouse in BC in which a popular CW network series is filmed. If you wish to pitch an idea, you must first get in contact with a studio. They will ask to have a script or something of that nature sent to them. If this passes, then you will be asked to set up a meeting with the studio manager. To be realistic, there is a 2% chance joe schmo will get even that far. Studios are so overwhelmed with such things that it's extremely difficult to even get a foot in the door. Look into having an agency, or a scripting firm pitch your idea. I.E you pitch it to them, if they like it, they will buy rights to your idea. Joe schmo is never really taken seriously by any kind of large network. This is all just information i've gathered from talking with the producers at the studio and my the buisness manager of the show.
