Hey everybody, I'm in the market for a new DA polisher and I was looking at the DeWalt DW443. The reason I was looking at this one instead of a PC or Flex is because it's cheaper than a Flex, but has forced rotation unlike the PC meaning I can perform more serious corrections in a shorter amount of time and with less work. I am also interested because I have known and trusted DeWalt as a brand name for pretty much all of my power tools and they have never let me down yet (knock on wood). My questions is has anyone used one and if so could you please give some insight as to how good it is? :thumb:
Am I looking at the right buffer? All my searches of DeWalt DW443 come up wit ha orbital sander with a bag to collect dust... ? Why would you want that?
I personally wouldn't recommend it as it's main purpose is to be used as a sander. Anyways there are a few who do use it for polishing. I would say instead of that maybe go for the Griot's DA. It's a good deal.
yeah that's the right one, the dust bag is removable, and it's listed on many sites as also a polisher because most dedicated polishers are just adapted sanders/grinders
I would never get that unit for polishing cars. The only Dewalt i would use is a DW 849, which is what i had. And even that i would not recomend, i would either get the Makita 9227c or the Flex XC3403
I would get the Flex 3401 but thats me, I have both a Makita 9227C and a PCXP, I like my PCXP but would like to sell it to replace it with the 3401
I also have flex xc3401 and its is awesome for a DA, I just bought phils makita 9227c to replace my dewalt. You can go wrong with the flex.
