Anyone home brewing with Mr. Beer | Experiences, Recipes Thread Just got one of these kits for Christmas. Seems very cool and fun. Post your experiences, techniques and recipes.... I'm currently brewing the West Coast Pale Ale that came with the "Premium" kit.
I do with my dad and a couple of his friends. We have a custom 30 gallon set up and we do it from grain not the syrup. It's great stuff, once you start in this hobby you can't stop. Only thing I can say is really pay close attention to the boil after the hops are added for at least the first 5-10 minutes. It gets really unstable and you don't want any boil over. After that it usually settles down and is more stable. That and sanitize everything! You don't want to come back 2 weeks later to see that you have a bad batch of beer. Good luck!!
