I received a phone call today from the regional sales manager at Tesla Motor Cars Canada. Seems they heard a rumour that I do decent work and they are interested in having me do the dealer prep for all the new Tesla's coming into Vancouver. Has anyone worked on a newer model? I'm interested in what the paint was like. Hard, soft, sanding marks from the factory etc. I may be starting on these next week so any insight would be greatly appreciated.

seems like a lot of the Texas guys have done some.

get your other FB account setup and i'm sure there is someone in the DB group that has done 1...i remember seeing a few shots of it, but too far back to look it up

I've done a few. Paint varied, Model S I did a few weeks back was hammered and the paint was soft. That was a '13, '12s were harder in the base model Tesla. The pics of the Model S are in the link above 4th one. After doing this car and helping my client with the delivered paint damage from Tesla the impression I got from the regional manager Tesla will be farming out there detailing because of the complaints from customers. Smart move if it happens! Beautifully finished cars but the prep is terrible, and scoring very low with customers. Anymore help PM me.
