I was curious as to whether anyone else uses Menzerna Micro-polish (PO87MC)? I use it for jeweling sometimes. I don't really hear anything about it. Am I the only one?
I have use it and it's also known as FP II. I use it on black and red finish cars and it works great!
I bought a 32oz bottle from Phil from a sale some time ago. Still have yet to finish the 16oz bottle I got from Detailed Image lol. Its good stuff. I just haven't had time to use it lately
If you are talking about FPII, yes. On a fine pad, it does a great job of finishing paint. Having used FPII and 106FF on numerous vehicles/colors, the two definitely have a different look, it's hard to explain (and I, for one, am *not* one to say "polish x gives a deeper look than polish y", because IMO finishing is finishing). I don't know if I'd say it does a better job finishing than 106 (FPII is certainly more mild), but it just has something *different* about it. I think that you are better off with FPII on softer paint after the marring/hologramming has been removed vs. 106, too.
I used to use it and then switched to 106FF and now to PO85rd for jewelling. FPII works very well but PO85rd just gives it that little extra gloss.
For soft paints such as Honda, PO87 MC and PO87 MF (FP 1) is awesome Obviously ceramiclear abrasive polishes won't work well with soft paints (leave marring) so it is good to have I just bought a new bottle It's damn cheap to buy here in australia
I always had odd issues with micro polish leaving behind a lot of oil, I would always have to follow up with a paint work cleanser to get the paint clean. It did have good defect removal and work time though.
I have had some good results using this on my VW. Finishes real nice and glossy. Probably one of the better finishing polishes that I have used.
I love the merzerna micro polishes. I always like to use the least aggressive polish that will do the job. It seems a lot of detailer go for something with more cut that will do the job faster. I perfer to save my clearcoat. Here is a few pics of my Viper after using PO87MC.
I use it. I like it a lot - nice long working time, easy cleanup. This week, hopefully, will be my first detail with it using the new Makita. I'm gonna try it first - if it gets the light swirls off the S2000, great. If not, I'll try Meg's #3, if that doesn't work, up to Menz. Intensive Polish. I'm pretty optimistic that the PO87MC, along with the rotary and a Meg's "So1o" finishing pad, will be all she needs.
