A question was posted about the company I work for and their expert answered that our site looks suspicious and is likely just phishing for credit card numbers and advised people to stay away. Over the last 3 weeks I've tried every 'report this', 'contact' link I can find and can't get an answer about removing the answer or at least allowing us to counter it. They've marked the question as resolved and locked it. Heading into the Christmas shopping season is not a good time to have people reading that before shopping with us. I put a 'comment' in about the response but it only shows if someone clicks on the 'comments' link, otherwise they don't see it at all.
sign up to be an expert and tell them the truth. all you need is a yahoo ID. your company can also have their legal team send a cease and desist. unless your company is only you i would reefer them to the legal team.
I did sign up so that I could post a real answer but they have the question marked as resolved so it won't allow any more answers. Seems a bit shady to me that a question over if we are a legit business would pop up and get answered right away saying we aren't and then locked. I posted a response in the comments section but a viewer has to click on the little spot that say 'comments' before it will show and most people won't read/do that much they will just see the claim that we are a scam and go elsewhere. Because sites that are just phishing usually have 1,173 different html pages, 1,447 pdf files, 3,708 jpg files and 6,603 add to cart buttons, sheesh. I've poured a lot of my time/life into those items so it drives me up the wall when it gets dismissed like that. They were hoping to avoid having to use the attorney due to the cost but it may likely have to go that route.
Your company "Brand" and its reputation is a very valuable marketing asset, protect it by every means possible
