Any ReLoad Reviews?

    Hi Guys,

Washed the Honda last night and put Opt Car Wax on the roof, the glass, and the plastic trim. Then I did ReLoad on the paintwork because the bottle is so small and don't wanna waste it on glass and trim.

And this made me think, AQuartz claims up to 4 months durability and Optimum claims up to 5 months durability. From my experience, Optimum Car Wax is only good for like 2 months (supposedly it's 5 months if you maintain with their QD).

So is AQuartz telling the truth just because it's so expensive? Does anybody have any durability reviews?

Btw, ReLoad was quite easy to use on the paintwork and gives off a nice glossy finish with sharp reflections but it left some smearing on the windshield similar to the Werkstat Trigger Jett products, which needed to be buffed off with a second MF towel. After doing the paintwork, I tried it on the windshield anyways to see how clear it wipes off.

thanks for your take on the product. I am curious as to what others have to say about their experience with the product. how did it look on the paint ?

Well I put it on the Pilot which only wears Optimum Car Wax or DG Aqua Wax after each wash. The shine is quite bright, very glossy looking with sharp reflections.

I don't want to say that it "looks better than this and that" until I try it on different cars with different colors, including my own car, but I will try to update/report on durability.

I will also snap some pictures real quick before the car gets driven.

I used it to do a final wipedown on a car I had sealed with Wolf Chemicals Nano Sealant and found it to be very easy to work with. Flashed quickly even though temps weren't too high ( around 55F ) and no streaking.

We're talking about ReLoad, it's the spray sealant from CarPro/AQuartz.

    Hi Emile

nice pics! , your car looks good, new improved version is launched now, more hydrophobic effect , with great gloss,
will be used more silica in the liquid for better water and dirt repellent,
it will last shorter time, round 2 months , but more powerful beading..
search on youtube : new reload glass coating.
you will see the 50/50 beading effect comparison.

I am really sorry for not posting my experience with Reload earlier, I have been terribly busy these past couple months and have been meaning to post my full review of Cquartz (absolutely awesome product in every way) and Reload (awesome too). I won't post my Cquartz review for a while as I need some time to polish the remaining panels that it has not been applied to but I can comment sufficiently on Reload.

Ease of use: it is extremely easy to use in 95% of the conditions I have presented it with; in the shade, in the sun, low humidity, high humidity, and over application. Most of the time, I don't need a follow up buffing even if I over apply it slightly.

Looks and Performance: it is unreasonable to expect a spray sealant to change the way properly prepped paint looks but it certainly does not detract which is all I can ask. I use it on my Z every 2 weeks post wash to keep beading (Reload's forte) tip top as well as add a bit of that just waxed pop to the paint. Did I mention great beading? The tight beads Reload alone produces are very good, even better when Reload is on top of the Cquartz'ed panels. Not only does it bead well, but it releases water easily to the point where you can drive your car at normal speeds after it rains and the panels that had been protected with Reload were nearly bone dry compared to the non Reload side. I have been able to test durability for a couple months now on my Dad's RX400h which is washed every 2-3 weeks and the beading still seems the same 2 months later after I polished the car and only applied Reload.

These aren't the best pictures to show the true gloss that the paintwork has but it looks excellent in person. I will be contacting Avi to get a full size bottle of Reload as I am completely sold on its performance.

Christian, the car looks great! Did you use it on your wheels too? They also look great.

As far as where you can buy it, contact Mike@autoaesthetica.com for the CQ line.

Christian, thanks for the update. From what I understand, Mike's shipment flew out the door so it will at least be a couple more weeks until he gets more product back in.

I am not sure if I am convinced on ReLoad. Opt Car Wax is only $36 a gallon and I can get two months out of it easily. ReLoad is $26 for only 400mL so I don't see how the price is justified. And now this new version they are coming out with is only 2 months durability anyways. Am I missing something here?

Different technology, inorganic materials, no dust/dirt absorbing like oil wax, water and dirt repellent, new formula will help to prevent scratching as well, it is thicker than original paint color.
can be used on any surface ,. glass windows and windscreen as well, giving rain/ice repellent.
it could last more then 2 months, its all depend on washing technique and frequency.

I highly recommend just going through Avi (d964) as he ships it out very quickly and it gets here from overseas more quickly than my last Autogeek order. Great pricing too.

Thanks a bunch Richy, I really need to do a full review for Cquartz following your lead! I did apply it to the wheels; I can't say I noticed any decrease in brake dust accumulation but it certainly makes it very easy to clean any dust that does settle off them. I use Reload as a drying aid on the wheels so I blow off most of the excess water, use 2-3 sprays of Reload, and dry them off.

Thanks Emile, I will be ordering a full sized bottle of the new version from Avi shortly and will update my thoughts accordingly.

Honestly, I have never used a spray sealant that has such a dramatic effect on beading, ease of cleaning, and durability compared to my experiences with the products below. I applied it to freshly IPA'ed paint and it is still beading like day one two months later on my dad's daily driven car. I was blown away at the results, but what was even more amazing in my view was how easy it was to use. It is not quite as dummy proof as Aquawax/OCW but it is very close except with 2-3 times the durability, real advantage of easiness to clean, and produces some of the best beading I have seen in any LSP (I am a beadaholic/connoisseur).

It is a bit more expensive but to me, this is the first spray sealant/wax that actually feels as if I am applying an LSP that can stand alone.

    -Souveran Spray wax
    -DG Aquawax
    -OCW
    -Black Fire Spray Sealant

Picture I just shot, it is a bit bright since I took it with my phone but it really gives you an idea of how the paint pops with Cquartz and Reload:

Thanks for sharing your experience Christian. 1 liter is pretty expensive at $62.99 but if they could offer a gallon of ReLoad for under $100 then I would seriously consider it based on the positive reviews I've read so far.

In the meantime, I am going to keep a close eye on durability and looks on the Honda Pilot I applied it to.

Also, my order from Ranney came in today, I got the C2 Concentrate and C4 Trim Restore. I plan on diluting the C2 Concentrate at 20:1 and using it as a maintenance spray sealant. Curious how durable this stuff is, especially up against ReLoad.
