so ive been bored with the lack of business lately and i happened to feel the paint on my mom's truck. Simply put it was sandpaper. So i decided to do a quick exterior detail. The hood of the truck had some swirls and hazing from the UV rays so I decided to give only the hood a quick polishing. Also just got my Diablo and Sticky Wheel Gel in after doing the wheels so i had to test them on my brothers filthy volvo. Both were diluted 3:1 and Diablo is clearly a superior cleaner. so i am keeping diablo for really dirty wheels and sticky wheel gel for regular washes. Great work ... those SUV are really sweet!! how long did it take you to polish? I can't imagine doing a 4Runner with a PC
thanks man thanks yeh i actually like to drive it, and im sorry I forgot to include that I only polished the hood this time round since it had the most swirls and just looked faded. The truck has about 18k miles on it since it doesnt get driven much and it just sits taking alot of sun. the hood was hazy and i felt like it was the part that stood out the most and was making it look old. so i polished it up correcting about 90% of the swirls some rids were left over for another day. thanks thanks lol im telling you its all thanks to M-seal. Great product over all. Hadnt used it in a while so i forgot how easy it goes on and comes off. Havent tried Jetseal or BlackFire but this one is just a great lsp for the price
yep she was. she wants me to fix the rock chips on her hood next Both were 3:1 i might try Sticky at 2:1 next time to see the difference. Right now im looking for a economic cleaner that proforms well. P21S was just too expensive and went way to quick
It's...so wet. Seriously man, that finished product is jaw dropping. 3rd to last photo is filled with pure win.
^ thanks man im really loving M-seal latley. I just remembered i have 1 coat of M-seal and 3x Rainforest Rub and my car looks ultra wet. A good sealant will definitely give you that wet look as well as great overall protection. I might put on a coat of Natty's Red if i have nothing to do one of these days btw which picture do u mean? the one of the back of the car or the one of the drivers side from a low angle?
This one. Absolutely gorgeous. How do you like Natty's Red? Looking for something to give pure looks now, will be washing it off before it wears off anyways.
I love nattys red such a good wax for the price. I also recoat the cars in my household frequently so its almost purely for looks. every color ive tried it on makes it pop lemme dig up some pics of cars ive done with it so you can get an idea edit: Here are some of the cars ive used Natty's Red on. Easy to apply and remove and smells amazing :thumb: 2000 Nissan Maxima: 2001 Volvo S40: 2001 Ford Explorer Sport: (IGNORE the hazing on the hood almost all of it had clear coat failure) 2006 Jeep Liberty: 2007 Honda Civic: 2009 Ford Edge:
Some nice work mate, looks like the paint was well maintained though, not that many swirls to start off with...
thanks man and yes the paint was cared for very well the swirls and rids are most likely from the dealership and maybe it was washed at a car wash once. Also like I said before the truck has about 18k miles on it so its used very lightly and as with all our cars we make it a point to park far away in parking lots to avoid stupid scratches and dings EDIT: Just noticed that i accidentally named the writeup 2009 4Runner when it should say 2006, sry guys
