Hey everyone been a few weeks since my last write up. Heres my aunt's daily driver. This car had a good amount of contamination on the paint and it was heavily swirled from being taken to the car wash regularly. The interior was in good shape. Probably the best I've seen in a while lol As i posted in a previous thread for the correction on the car i used Menzerna SIP and Orange Pads and was surprised to find it finished down LSP ready with one pass of my PC at 5. A yellow pad and Menz SIP was used on some areas. Theres about 130 pictures icture: so if you have slow internet take a coffee/beer break :drinking2: Whole job took 28 hours over the course of 3 days. As always any and all comments/suggestions are welcome.
Great Write ups! The C-Class Look Great! I have just finish now at 1:00am! with a never cared 94 Lexus ES300...that simliar to your projects I will post later.. Keep up the good work
Thanks ill be looking for your post :thumb: i know what its like to work into the early hours of the morning.
Nice write up! It was fun to read, I don't know if that polish smiley face was intended but I do that too when I get bored
thanks. the funny thing is that the smiley was completely an accident i just saw it and realized my subconscious was happy about the car lol
Dude! Great Job. Thank you for all the pictures, you take good pics with a P& S camera. Very good shots of the defects within the clear. Can't wait to see more of your work.
Thanks for posting the pic of the hood ornament before adn after using the P21S Metal Polish. I'll need to use it on my and senior's three-pointed star and bring it back to life :applause:
Glad you like the Eagle One, looks like it worked well. Sorry to hear about the eye thing though. Car looks great! If you keep doing these restoration projects you might want to invest in a rotary too, 28 hours is a very long time. I'm working on a beat-up S550 right now and I should have about 13 hours total for a 2-step correction to 95% including interior and everything else. Great job :thumb:
Yeh as soon as i save enough $ from jobs ill invest in one. I need to cut down on time badly Glad my write up can help. It really is a great product for the price :thumb:
Well done anbuzero vehicle looks great :thumb: Taking pictures of light color vehicles is a bit tough but you made it look easy, well done. That's a fine looking vehicle too and the engine bay looks great :woo:
Thanks really it was this light i got recently 1200 Watt Oval Twin Head Halogen Worklight and my camera's macro setting and autofocus. All that and a lot of patience lol and the engine is so nice it looks like a monster and its a pretty quick car when in sport mode :thumb:
what a compliment. thanks for the great compliment ill look into entering it now that you mention it.
Lookin' good. I love the use of the toothpick, I go through a zillion of those every detail. Really the only way to clean the super tight areas (I usually wrap a Megs QID wipe around it).
