Ok guys, this little car is so stunning! I fell in love with this car, every aspect of it from the interior, to the exterior, to the exhaust note! You gotta believe with the 335 twin turbo engine in this tiny thing its a rocket ship! Customer states it stays with a M6 from 0-100, man oh man I can only imagine the intense pulling this turbo doles out! But enough with the stunning looks and performance, lets start with the paint work. This car has only 500 or so miles on the clock, and has only been washed twice. Once by the dealer (and big kudos to Fletcher BMW in Asheville, NC...probably the lowest amount of swirls I've ever seen on a new car dealer prep) , and once by the owner. The owner drove it down to Florida so it was plastered with bugs and had a nasty coat of rain residue. I had been called in to apply 2 coats of sealant (1Z glanz ) to the flat surfaces of the car before he left for florida to prevent acid rain etching, as we didn't trust the dealer's "paint guard".....and with good reason! once back for the correction and swissvax the car didn't bead anywhere except on the surfaces with 1Z glanz. Pics of one dirty 1: yuck! wheels after P21S gel and swissvax brush and auto-zone inner wheel brush (which is so much better than the EZ brush) Inners nice and tidy! BUGS SOLUTION!!!! what a job the 1Z anti-insekt does! Next was a pressure rinse, then a foam soak with Meguiar's Hyper Wash Then the 2BM was used to cleanse the dirt off with Meguiar's Shampoo Plus and a MF mitt. dried with a leaf blower and DD WW towels Then Clayed with C&S poly Clay and Adam's Detail Spray as lube Nice and healthy...should be since its a week old! Minor Imperfections: (like I stated above the swirls were very slight and very hard to capture because in fact they're really weren't many at all...just a few light scratches) after Menzerna rd3.02 via green LC CCS at 1500 rpm finessed with PO85rd blue pad 1200 rpm Bonnet and Drivers Side panels: drivers side after correction: passenger side after correction: trunk lid: NOW FOR THE FINALE! " I wanted it to look like it did when I got it, now I dont think new holds a candle to this." -Owner of the incredibly sweet 135i:applause2: Now this 1 series is finally how it should be from new! The red is so close to Imola Red, very blue based and deep and rich especially with swissvax cleaner fluid and concorso! Hope you enjoyed taking a peek at this incredible new ride!
Finally! I've been wondering when I'd finally get to see a S&S on a 135i. Thanks for sharing amp...will you be able to add some outside pics in the sun tomorrow, that take in the car as a whole? :thumb:
Very nice work! Are those the wheels of an M3 CSL I spot in the reflection of the 135 paint? Whats this autozone brush you say is better than the EZ btw?
sorry no outside pics unitl next wash and wax top up (scheduled for a month from now) The owner actually does the two bucket method and does a very nice job washing so I dont think he'll swirl it much I think around 750? Its the 3M paint meter and I believe it's the finest one on the market according to the paint and body supply shop I got it from ( have no idea if its actually better than the positester everyone uses but I love it very very accurate) yes sir, ZCP actually. The auto zone black inner wheel brush is the best softest long reach brush I've ever used. Thanks for the comments guys! I worked hard on this one!
Love that car 300 hp 300 tq and 300lbs lighter then an E90. You made that car look as impressive as it should great job
