I always liked ARO. Seemed to work really good for me.

It's great for pulling the orange/brown gunk from the tires but I never used it on wheels, seems a bit too harsh.

just use custom wheel cleaner instead for both. works better than ARO on tires.

Nah, i use ARO straight up undiluted.

I like it and it works quite well on both tires and wheels but IMO its too expensive. A CHEAP, GOOD wheel cleaner is something I've been looking for. I guess looking back, aro is the best I've used in both regards but it still seems too expensive for some reason, considering how much you can use cleaning a single set of tires/wheels.

Where can I buy custom wheel cleaner in large quantities?

ken at autowerkes exclusive (he's a forum sponsor) carries it in 5L containers. i believe he can get even larger sizes upon request. he's in canada, but his pricing on it cant be beat(its on sale right now too), and he's got flat rate shipping to the states going on right now.

ARO is water activated, so you shouldn't dilute it.

Is ARO safe for all types of wheels ?

ARO is safe for clear coated wheels and contains no acid.

i use it for door jams . it also seems fine on every wheel i have tried it on. never streaked or stained one on me yet. i buy it buy the gallon and certainly dont dilute it. just ordered kens autoglym wheel and tire cleaner and he suggested his new apc so i got some of it coming too. his new $8 flat ship rate to the US is a big big plus now for us yankees. his customer service is top notch too.

ARO is a fantastic product and you can find it OTC at most marine supply shops. Pricey, but does exactly what it says it will.

Yeah, it was originally used to clean canvas tops on boats. Strong enough to clean and yet would not affect the waterproofing.

I've used ARO for a couple of years and I'm still using it. IMHO it's the best tirecleaner and I also use it for enginecleaning. In fact, ARO has some good effects on polished alloy, just see how my FK strutbar looks after drying :)

ARO is a high alkaline cleaner so it's safe for most factory wheels, if not all factory wheels. It's a nice product and can be diluted but diluted product must be used right away because ARO is water activated.
