My Canadian shop doesn't carry Meguiar's BP for their MF pads. I've heard Meguiar's BP have more efficient airflow so it doesn't overheat as easily. However what's an alternative BP that I can use instead?

Get Buff Daddy (kevin brown) to make you a custom one. The money you spend of getting one made, is made back saving your pads from certain death, also it's quite annoying to burn your pads

+1 on going with Kevin, he has a lot of BP's to choose from.

I actually just had another order arrive from him today. I have a 3" Mirka plate I ordered from him a while back that I use on the 3" MF pads and I just had him send me a 5" Mirka one too to try out. :thumb:

Not gonna fly. The cost of shipping a BP to here is probably 3x the cost of the pad.

Just out of curiosity, but in terms of the Microfiber pads I found that after washing them out a few times they no longer measure 3.27" and 5.25" actually 1/4th smaller now. It seems they shunk a bit. If he does make a custom one for the system, does he account for that or will the edge stick out after a while. Mine have mushroomed a little bit.
