during washing, what kind of brush do you guys use on spots like emblems, and in those hard to reach nooks and crannies? i'm having trouble finding a suitable medium boar's hair brush. thanks!

Swissvax wheel brush works great for those spots. Have been using one for a year with no problems to the paint.

+2 on Swissvax Wheel Brush. If you want more of a paintbrush-style brush, then go with Swissvax Pneu Brush. Brushes are softer but has a narrow profile that may be more beneficial for your needs.

Walmart has a wet shaving kit made by Van Der Hagen Enterprises, it has a small bowl, shave soap and a shaving cream brush. I am not sure if it is boars hair or not but the kit sells for roughly $8, that is the brush I use for detailing. For my face I use the art of shaving's pure badger brush.
