I had a chance to use Oblitarate of a few vehicles now and I must say it is one of the best if not the best tar remover that I have tried to date.

Here is a link for the product: http://www.autofinesse.us/products-p...ng/oblitarate/

Comes in a 500ml bottle. It does have a solvent smell to it and is not a fancy fruit juice smelling product. Rather simple product to use.....put some on a MF, rub it on some tar and watch the tar disappear with ease. No hard rubbing is required, just a few gentle passes is all it takes. I also had some bubble gum on a car and it removed it in a flash.

I am sure that being a strong tar remover, it will destroy any LSP that was on the surface, so I suggest waxing after using on the affected area.

Generally I use Prep-Sol to remove tar but I found this much more effictive and easier.

Sorry for not having pictures but I wasn't planning on doing a review. I decided after to talk about this product and share with everyone how easy this made my tar removal duties.

Pros: The most effective tar removal product I have tried to date.

Up in the air: Strong smell but I didn't care as it works so well

Cons: (1)It is a little pricy @ 18.95 for 500ml but I will keep in my supplies for sure

(2)The bottle didn't come with a sprayer or even a flip top lid. The opening is about the size of a standard water bottle, so you must use with caution and not spill.

Sorry for the half-ass review but like I said, I wanted to share how pleased I was with this products performance.

    Thanks, Jim

Martin, even a flip top lid would be great. Doesn't necessarily have to be a sprayer IMO.

I just ordered this today from Martin. I can't wait to try it out.

After washing my car this weekend with AF Lather, I noticed a lot of tar. I'm sure the will be obliterated soon enough :headbang:
