    Hello!
I would like some help buying the right products to maintain the look.

I will be washing once a week. minimum once every other week.
I prefer good bang for buck products.

    so far I have :
Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner, 1 Gallon
DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss 128 oz.

For a wax I thought of zaino 2 pro but it says it's for lighter colored vehicles so that will not work

also I was thinking of using something like wax as you dry, as something that I can put on quickly after every wash to protect from the salt dirt etc. in addition to a stronger wax that I would use once every other month or so?

at this point Im not sure If i need a sealant, I'm unsure what is the difference between a sealant and a wax and a polish for that matter

so there you have it what are good wax or sealant ideas?
and I was planning to order from autogeek.net are there any better sites?

    Thanks so much!

For all my daily drivers, I always reach for colli 845 period.

Yes, get $15 or so dollars out of your pocket and trade those in for a bottle of Collinite 845.

I would go with a sealant topped with a wax. I use 2 coats of menz powerlock topped with 845. You could use a spray wax for a topper in between if you wanted to but it probably is not necessary. Chicago has a long cold winter so it may be longer than a month in between waxes during the winter.

Set a weekend aside and winterize. You can get powerlock and 845 from Detailers domain. If it's your first order you can get 15% off too!

if you're going to use Powerlock as a sealant, than id be going with 915 instead to add a bit more carnauba look over 845

Finish Kare 1000P look great on just about every color but make color like silvers and white pop. Slickest sealant I ever use for protection that outlast everything. Plus it inexpensieve for size

I'm not an expert ... but i kept a 2000 Echo looking new for 9 years using nothing except a good wash every week to get the salt and kaka off the car. I did a detail just before i sold it and the car looked like new .... Montreal has worse winters than Chicago and we use a lot of salt here...

Don't worry about it too much.. just keep it salt free and the Powerlock is all you need without going overboard ... Ive been there and done that , worried my car would disintegrate and in the end everything was good....

Just my .02$ from a noob detailer ...

I recommend collinite 845, 2 layers will last you plenty of time, and get a nice lsp friendly soap like optimum car wash
