I'm looking to try a new detail spray mainly for final wipe downs, not clay lube since I use ONR. I've tried all the OTC stuff and a few others (Wolfgang and DP) and heard good things about both of these. I would like to hear some opinions on the two, or any other suggestions. Thanks! :mounty:
FK-425 or Optimum OID or Duragloss FC&S. You cant go wrong with FK425. There's a reason they sell so many gallons of that stuff.
Used both, personally I think both have their good and bad. Adams is easy to use, good shine FK is super slick, can get a bit streaky if the engine has been on or car is out in sun but leaves a great finish and the anti static make it a winner for me When doing a wipedown after a wash I use the 425 because it keeps the car dust free a little longer than Z6 or something like that. Both good products IMHO.
FK 425 is one of the easiest quick detailers on the market. It leaves a great finish and although I was skeptical initially, does slightly decrease the amount of dust collected after driving. I highly recommend it; I have tried many QDs and this is one that I keep coming back to.
OID is amazing stuff. and one 32 oz bottle makes 1 gallon of detail spray. the stuff smells great and leaves the surface feeling really slick. and the gloss is outstanding. although, sometimes ive found that it can get a little hazy when used on a hot surface and not totally wiped off, but it nothing that a second wipe or two cant fix Ive really been wanting to try out the adams detail spray, but i have so many detail sprays already that I dont really have any reason to.
If Fk425, then why not DG aquawax? If you're going to use it after a wash, I think a spray wax with carnauba inside would produce better protection...
alli use is Adams detail spray..its a great drying aid q/d i use this a ton in fact i just went to phils and picked up another gallon.. i should really look into the 5 gallon container. i go through this stuff loike water .....
