This may seem like a repetitive thread. What can i say? I love working on Type S's it seems! This particular one belongs to one of my good friends father. While he was out of town this weekend i had the opportunity to work my magic so he could come back and be surprised on how his car now looks.

Process was pretty straight forward with only a FEW surprises along the way. The first surprise was when i went to pull the car into my garage after the wash process. I grabbed the key, put it in the ignition turned it but it wouldn't start! :shead: I tried several times confused and slightly concerned. I hadn't touched it since it was dropped off. After a few moments of deep contemplation i suddenly realized that i grabbed MY PERSONAL key instead of the owners. I mean they are the same exact keys... :giggle:

    Anyways,

Let's start this thread off right, here's some before pictures to show you the prior condition the car was in. Rims were hammered with brake dust, inside and out. Worst condition rims i've seen in a while. I guess it's those brembo pads that dust alot. Although they were kind of a pain to clean they did make for some Sonax and before and after shots.

Some built up grime in the emblems, cracks and crevices. These were cleaned with a SV brush and some 5:1 APC.

You can actually see the amount of embedded contaminants. BAD!

    Interior was messy as well:

I decided to do a mobile job instead so i pulled the car into the street and walked my supplies down my driveway. That's what you call mobile service:

After the brake dust was evacuated i pulled the car into the driveway and started the wash process.

A few areas were hit with APC to help loosen up the grime.

Pulled inside, then IronCut was applied. Darker the berry sweeter the juice in this case!

Thought this was a pretty cool shot of the two car's pulled into their respective places.

    Some type of stain:

Car was clayed, dried then sealed. After sealant was curing i hit the rims with a wheel sealant. Did you not think i would get a picture of myself in this one? :tiptoe:

Inside was pretty straight forward. Thorough vacuum, wipedown and cleaning. Windows were covered in a cloud of grime:

After everything was tidied up on the interior. I completed a final wipedown on the exterior, dressed the tires and high fived my buddy!

Here's the final pics. By the time we finished it was dark out so we weren't able to get any sun shots. Here's some reflection shots.

    ENJOY

Awesome work Tim. I really like those TL's. My dad had an 04 and he still talks about how much he misses that car. I think Acura messed up the new design. I wouldn't mind having that body style with the 6spd.

    Thank you sir!

Thanks Phil! I appreciate your products ;)

You couldn't have said it better. They (Acura) made a HUGE mistake by dropping the Type S line and changing the body style. I wish i had a 6 spd, i just feel so disconnected from the car driving a manual. But that doesn't mean i don't have fun with the paddle shifters. :)

    Thank you Jimmy!

Nice I like the painted portion of the lower front grill. No paint correction though?
