Sorry to post to an old thread, but my 2005 S4 Avant has aluminum rails & trim that could use some help. The aluminum has a milky look to it and some of the feeble attempts I've made do nothing to it. I'm a bit of a newbie and don't have a huge arsenal of tools but I've been reading these forums and articles for a couple years and eating up as much as I can. If the OP is still around, could you describe which specific items you referred to above? (The links don't work anymore) Or, maybe point me at a better technique. Thanks much!
If they are like my allroad they are clear coated and M105-205 combo will dress them up pretty well, mine were damaged with a car wash chemical from previous owner and I had to wet sand mine first.
