HAHAHA.... dude sucks to be you!!! You better charge on the upwards of $700 for that bad boy!!! Don't wash it, sandblast it!!!! Good luck on polishing out those wheels, they look aluminum!!!
Hey Eric, I have some DP/zaino/WG/flex 3401/ 845 and a ton more. If the rims are uncoated aluminum you can use my WG metalwerks
Thanks for the offer Ed! If I need it I'll give ya a ring. On the other hand does anyone have any suggestions on what they want to see used?
Seriously I think I'm going to call the guy and see if he wants to go black powdercoat on these wheels, if I cant see major a difference after my polishing.... Anymore suggestions...
Sheesh, don't waste your Black Wow on all that exterior trim. I wanna see Sig. Series II as the Final LSP.
I would make sure to use a sealant. Have a feeling that is will be a while before you see this one again! I do find it funny that there are wet wipes on the floor. I am not sure if the seal has ever been broke :giggle: Seriously... good luck! That thing is a monster!
Here is the last H2 I did, actually it was for the same guy. I think he has a total of 3?? All the same color.. Getting it clean shouldn't be an issue, but those wheels look awful! Here is a previous detail for the same owner different H2. Before After
I agree, those vehicles are big and I'm sure it's going to take a wile to get it all done, the more time you hve the better off you are :thumb: The rims look great though :applause:
Great job on those wheels bro! I would love to know step by step what you had to do to get them restored. Oh and all the products used. In case I ever encounter any aluminum wheels that need that much work. Oh and what did you do to the paint for LSP and such?
Thanks Wolf! First I did was completely strip all the polish and brighten the aluminum by using a acidic aluminum cleaner from a local vendor. White Lightning is a close match if you have ever heard of that..?? It's basically pontoon cleaner Then it's time to take a seat! I first put whats known as a cutting polish on the wheel via terry towel . This is just about the same as spreading polish before working it in... Then I take the Mothers PB and work it for about 3-7 minutes until results reveal results. Next I move onto the finishing polish Mothers Aluminum Metal Polish. I spread it on using a terry like before and then work it in until results reveal the look I'm trying to achieve. Now the trick on the outside edges and center area around lugs I used DG aluminum polish that comes in a gold tin, the fabric is pre-treated with polish so all you have to do is start rubbing. It works fast and the cloth turns black quick yielding that your obiviously achieve some kind results. This is the longest part of the process and thank goodness for the mothers powerball :worship2: Products used Wash / Degreasing Chemical Guys CWG via Foam Gun AIM Citri-Solve Degreaser AIM Alumi-Brite AIM Magic Clean Dressings Megs Hyper Dressing - Tires / Wells DG Flat Black and Bumper Restore - Black Trim and Bumpers Polish / LSP HT69 - One Step Polish / Sealant via Cyclo = Edge Green LSP - Optimum Spray Wax (New Formula) Glass Zep Streak Free Window Cleaner <<< AWESOME - Home Depot DG Rain Repel as a topper Interior Spray Nine APC for everything DG Aerosol for interior dressing wiped down for matte look Shark Steamer ($100 one from Lowes) for crack, crevice and plastic cleaning Hot Water extraction on carpet with Spray Nine as spotter AIM Viynl and Leather Treatment for seats AIM Tropical Breeze air freshner for finishing touch
