A Special Unveiling

Last week a few of us went out to celebrate a friend's birthday. We noticed that there were two guys sitting at the table next to us. The seemed almost a bit out of place until they noticed we were talking about cars and future mods. Then their faces lit up. We engaged them in conversation and quickly noticed that they were not from around these parts.
Turns out one of the guys sitting at the table was none other than Valentino Balboni. They were in town because they were unveiling a limited production Lamborghini.
We were all invited to come out and get a closer look at the car.
Sadly the weather didn't cooperate with us so no one got to go for a ride in the car, however just witnessing the event was enough for most of us.

Side note though, those calipers are probably bigger then more normal car wheels! :yikes:

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni only 250 will be made. He doens't know what color his car will be.

Wish I was there, that car is amazing, I've heard about it. It was made to commemorate the previous lamborghini test driver, this particular model has rear wheel drive, instead of all wheel drive. So predictably, its a lot funner. :gidiup:

 

She works at the Lamborghini dealership here in St. Louis.

Yeah, the guy holding the microphone is the one they made it for. He wanted to get it out on the road here, but the weather wasn't cooperating at all.

 

Badass Gallardo. Lucky you got to see it! I've only seen one Gallardo in person. But I live in a sheltered area of the US (northern Minnesota).
