Exactly! I believe that this Toyota saga is a good case to show that this movement towards the comprehensive use of electronic management should only go so far for the sake of efficiency. Many people simply do not understand their cars anymore, and I can see why in a car like a Prius where you have to press and hold the power button; it is not intuitive to the main stream car buyer. Oh well, even though I think the guy could have made his point without "40 f-bombs per gallon," it was highly entertaining haha.

I guess owning a 5-speed helps knowing you do have neutral. Still though, why havent ppl come up with this idea when the problem was mentioned. We've put men on the moon, and we have men and women orbiting the earth right now. Jeez, why dont they put this on twitter or facebook. They could even make a Xbox game about it!!!!!!
nice lol. here is easiest thing to do . USE YOUR BRAKEEEESSSSSSS. any car brakes will be able to stop the car EVEN if accelerator is PINNED to the floor. well it might take you extra 10 feet but you will stop. PROVEN by CAR and DRIVER
Very funny. It's not dangerous if a Prius starts accelerating uncontrollably. If Lamborghinis and Ferraris started accelerating uncontrollably, then we would really have a problem on our hands.
