So I must admit, I haven't actually had any microfiber wash solution for a while. I had some CG Microfiber wash, but I ran out a while ago and to be honest...it just sort of slipped my mind to order more. I generally have used unscented Tide, which works alright. However, we have recently been buying all-natural and environmentally friendly products. I found this at Whole Foods. (Please ignore the crazy linoleum in our kitchen) I decided to try it out on a load of microfiber towels. To my surprise, it worked just as well, if not better, than the microfiber wash I had been using in the past. It left my towels very soft, but it didn't inhibit any of their absorption abilities. If anything, my towels seem to hold more water than they have since they were new. They also come clean every time. It's super concentrated so it lasts forever--I only use a very small amount when I wash my towels. Just thought I'd share -Clark
I use Ecover Delicate Wash with excellent results. I presoak in BIZ for stained microfibers. My microfibers come out soft (I use no laundry softener).
I only use detergents with no scents/dye/strong chemicals in it. I get the ones that say for sensitive skin, green, and what not.
I've been using Charlie's Soap in liquid form. There's an environmentally friendly store down the street from me that sells it per ounce. Bring in your bottle and they'll refill it at $0.15 per ounce. It's been working well so far.
