Well a good friend of mine brought over his SLK 230 for me to inspect and insure it maintains it’s pristine condition. Here is the vehicle upon arrival: This vehicle has been stored for the entire winter so I was expecting it to be in good shape. The rims will need some work: Found this too: The rear rims will also need some attention: Well time to get to work. Today was a gorgeous day, nice and sunny and hot so I was able to use the traditional washing method. So I started with the rims. First up Red P21S Gel is used, my friends get the good stuff :thumb: Here is Red P21S Gel hard at work: The wheel wells received some P21S Total Auto Wash: The inside of the rims where agitated with my EZ Brush: The face of the rims were agitated with my Zymol brush, the inside of the wheel well was done with my degraded Zymol sponge and the tires were given a good scrub with a Meg’s tire brush, here is how all that scrubbing looked like at the end: Well this process was done all rims, tires and wheel wells. Once done it was time to wash the rest of the vehicle, now considering it was nice and sunny and hot I was worried about water spots. So, I broke out my CR Spotless…I haven’t used this filter for a long, long time…it felt great using it again :thumb: Checked the meter to see if we are good to go: 0PPM = good times :woo: Vehicle was washed with the two bucket method, the shampoo of choice is Meg’s Classic Gold with my sea sponge. Once I was done washing the vehicle I kept rinsing it off and I had forgotten how good the CR Spotless system is. I took these pictures to show it’s performance: The water is just sitting there. What’s impressive is that there are no water spots and it’s high noon, nice and hot and not a single spot on the vehicle…like I said it felt great using the CR Spotless unit. Well moving along, wile the vehicle was outside I used the natural sun light to inspect the vehicle and it was in good condition, some minor micro marring. So I gave the vehicle a quick pass with Menzerna 85RD with a 3M UK Blue Finishing foam pad. No pictures of this step and the defects were quite minimal. Once I was done polishing I gave the entire vehicle a wipe down with Menzerna Top Inspection. Now since this vehicle belongs to a good friend, friends receive the special treatment so next up is: I was by my self and boy have I forgotten how hard it is to buff this stuff off :shakehead: Well once the entire vehicle received a healthy coat of HD Cleanse Professional it was time for the main event, applying Vintage. I started off applying Vintage by hand but half way through I switched over to foam applicator  Nice and thin. Well now for some end results: Now the pictures look like as though I dressed the tires don’t they, well to be honest I never did dress the tires. My friend has put so much gel dressing on these tires and I didn’t need to dress the tires :what: Well that concludes this detail, hope you enjoyed it. Oh by the way if you look close on the last picture (to the left) you’ll see the vehicle I’m currently working on As soon as I’m done I’ll post the write up :thumb:
Well done, Carlos! I'm hearing Vintage really outlasts many other carnauba waxes (it should, considering its price), so it sounds like that Benz is set for a while. It came out beautiful!!!
Looks Sweet Carlos:applause: I am wondering if the Interior Dash/Console is all chipped up...:shead: Everyone of these cars I have seen have this problem. M/B should have a class action lawsuit against them:hmph: Oh Yea, I look forward to the Mach1icture:
