    Hi,

Just saw an informercial for this and was wondering if this would work to clean the carpets in a car and all the crevices. I know nothing about steamers so if those that own steamers would gladly chime in.

Also i know this wouldn't work as well as a $1800 steamer but for $99 I wanna see how much shit it can put up with before it breaks. Whats your take?

to small tank to do a car. And probably the steam won't get hot enough for the ruff
dirt. But its better than nothing.

The key with steam is you want a dry vapour. Cheap POS steamers just shoot out hot water mixed with steam; that's not what you want. The old adage "you get what you pay for" holds true for steamers...save your $ till you can afford a good one.

While I generally agree with this, I purchased a Simoniz steamer from from CrappyTire for $50 to try it out for fun. IT worked better at cleaning the leather seats then Leatherique did. While the steamer might not be perfect, it saved me at least $20 worth of Rejuvanator and Cleaner. IT didnt make the seats wet, either...
