yesterday I fired up the 9227 and it made a sheering noise for almost a minute while I was running it. It is fairly new so I don't think anything is wrong with it yet. I am not that hard on my tools! I did leave it in my garage so it was kind of cold. Cold this be a result of the grease not doing its job?
Hmmm, I think it might be grease not liking cold weather. I know on cars greased joints and bushings usually make more noise during the winter compared to summer.
Just finished using my Makita and all was well, but I think it could be the cold..keep your tools inside..well that's just my guess though :guess: Keep us posted when you fire it up inside the house where it's nice and worm :thumb:
