Client brought in this 3 year old A3 for a light polish and protection. The body had a few scuffs but otherwise, there was very little, if any marring from washing. Kudos to the owner. Wheels sealed with BH Auto Balm Tires dressed with Blackfire Long Lasting Tire Gel Exhaust polished with Leprechaun Metal Polish and sealed with Blackfire All Metal Sealant No interior work today Total time - approx 10 hours Found this brush at Home Depot. Great for doing around lugs as the bristles are firm and longer than Swisswax style brushes. Some befors... Engine wasn't too bad, just a little dusty. Some wax buildup along edges of clear bra. Wash mitt and soap from Ben. Little front end damage - oops. Deep scratch repair kit - new Flex, GI 3" bp, GI 4" fast cut white pad, Extreme and Evolution Cut. Most of this bumper scuff came out. Vertical discolouration on rear bumper from previous repair Got as much of this out as was practical. It was deep with an edge on both sides....Yikes. A few deeper RDS on hood Healthy paint thickness The other scratch on the hood - still enough to fix My little sanding buddy for small areas Polishing under the rear bumper skin - he may look here. You never know. No LSP yet Even the bottom of the doors got waxed All done BH Auto Balm on wheels Most of this scuff came out. Remaining RDS unfortunately were deep and ran across a ridge in the body. This bumper scuff is almost invisible now All the scratches in this door came out. This scuff was left by the body shop that repaired the bumperskin. Too bad its under the clear. Tiny bit of scratches we couldn't get out of hood safely.
Great work Ken! Those scratches looked pretty serious. I've never seen such clean door jambs. :thumb:
If you are referring to the product I used on this Audi, its the AG Custom Wheel Cleaner and yes, I have it in stock.
Ken Great Work. Loving the candy shine. How do you like the brush from Home Depot? I saw it too but was a little skeptical? Cheers, Nick
Nice work on all those RIDS...Once again you came out on top but thats nothing new...Way to go and thanks for sharing...:thumb:
Fantastic work Ken! My brother has the same Audi in the same color, but two door version. Very nice little car!
I really like it. As I said, the bristles are soft, but firm so its grat for deep lugs. There are also longer ones. I use APC with a natural bristle, 2.5" sash paint brush. Just keep the bristles clean so as not to transfer dirt to the next jamb. The natural bristle wont get ruined from APC or even wheel cleaner. Tape the metal binding with duct tape and you're golden. I've been using these brushes for 15 years and still have not found a better all around brush. As the bristles wear down they are awesome for emblems etc. I don't know how soon you want your BH stuff, but I will be stocking it in around 6 weeks.
Man another great detail from you Ken. I'll be using some of these products soon and can't wait. Thanks for stocking this stuff! I can't wait to see the Blackfire on my next detail.
