Today we cleaned up a 1987 XJ6. I work with the owner who has had this car since it was brand new.

We were working with a budget, but I wanted to perform a 1-step polish to remove some swirls and restore some gloss

Let’s begin with some before shots.

Car was in really good shape.

    Random water spots

    Greasy substance

Interior was in good shape, just a good wipe down and vacuum.

    Wash Process

    Wheels looked clean.

Wanted to make sure they were clean between all the slots. Using Mini EZ brush
    [IMG]

Not as clean as they looked
    [IMG]

    Initial foaming
    [IMG]

    Clay bar treatment
    [IMG]

    After just the roof
    [IMG]

    Getting all the little areas

Rest of the car wasn’t in too bad of shape.

Car was foamed and washed again

    Final rinse
    [IMG]

Dried and taped up. On to the polishing.

Got a couple packages from Detailers Domain and Autogeek while working on the car

Some minor swirls remained, as it was only a 1-step polish.

    Interior:
Vacuumed everything, protected mats with 303 Fabric Guard
Dash and doors wiped down with Cockpit Premium
    Seats got Leatherique

Nice work! What are those black furry stick things in the picture of the stuff you got used for?

Looks amazing for a one step ... do you mind sharing what polish/pad combo you used?
