This Multi Million Dollar 1953 Aston Martin DB2 Coupe Prototype was given to us for a full paint correction by Family Classic Cars where our shop is located. This Aston Martin was a bit dusty so we couldn’t really tell what kind of damage it had. After washing the car and a full clay decontamination, we saw light to medium scratches and a few rids here and there. We spent a total of 72 hours to get the car to where it needed to be with a 5 step process and then sealed it with Swissvax Concorso to give it that deserving million dollar look! Below I will give a brief history of the car. Thank you for viewing. Enjoy the photos.

This is a very special AM built by David Brown for himself. It was originally a drop head and Mr. Brown commissioned Mulliner of England to replace the drophead with a hard top. The car is the Proto-Type 1 of 25 or so and was used as a test mule for all ongoing engineering developments for the line. This car was sold to Peter Collins (F-1 race car driver of the day) who drove at the time for Ferrari. Enzo Ferrari requested that Peter not drive the car to the track as Ferrari was racing against AM at the time. The car was then sold to King Huessein of Jordan.

The car was restored to present condition at the Aston Martin factory. The body is alloy with special brakes and motor components.

Nice work, I didnyt know GI made five step polishes, hahahahahhah. Awesome work, being a 50's car I would assume the laquer paint would have been fum to work witrh.

Hahaha this was Menzerna and some D300, and yes I was thrilled as I thought it would be laquer paint....... but it was repainted at the Aston Factory and had a clear coat but I had a blast working on it, I have a couple million dollar 57 Tour De France Ferrari coming up in a few weeks it should be another fun classic car!
