Well i tried to do an LSP test beginning of this year, but didnt really report back. This time i tried to do***ent and hopefully will report some findings. I am putting to the test 5 different waxes and 1 sealant to compare the ever so controversial Sealant vs. Wax. The 6 LSPs being tested are as follows:

Dodo Juice Purple Haze - Bottom Passenger
Dodo Juice Supernatural - Top Passenger
    Swissvax Smaragd - Bottom Middle
    Swissvax Mystery - Top Middle
    Z-2 (2 coats) - Bottom Driver
    Zymol Vintage - Top Driver

Car was polished a couple weeks ago and protected. To remove old LSP, car was cleaned with CF and then taped off into 6 sections.

Wax was applied by bare hands and washed after each application to ensure no contamination between waxes, however Zaino was applied with an applicator pad.

This was let to stand for about 15 minutes. Wax was then buffed off with 6 separate MF's, again to ensure no contamination between LSPs. Car was given a Z-8 wipedown and left the following.

    Initial Impressions:
I haven't used a sealant in a long time, i forgot just how slick a sealant leaves the surface of the paint compared to the slick "sticky" feeling of a wax. Surface areas waxed with Dodo doesn't feel as slick compared to the Swissvax and Zymol surfaces. Though slickness is no real big indicator of overall performance. Will report back on beading and durability.

I'm interested to see how this turns out, keep us up to date w/ everything. Thanks for the test! Any impressions on the warmth and glow of the sections or is it too hard to tell?

Thanks for taking the time to do this! After everything has cured, would you mind doing a few beading shots?

Yes, I want to see some beading shots as well! And as far as durability is concerned, no prizes for guessing the winner there!

Will Zaino Z-2 Pro bond well with the oils in SV Cleaner Fluid?

NO, Zaino needs to be applied over virgin paint. I would have prepped with ZPC or Z-AIO first. Or do a 50/50 wipe first.

Interesting test. I'll be watching. One question is the Vintage in the Blackfire tub or am I missing something?

That's what I was thinking. I think we need to remain cognizant of that when judging Zaino's performance.
