Bob from Auto Concierge and I (Jeff @ Immaculate Reflections) went mobile to tackle this hot rod 57 Chevy Bel Air. Originally scheduled for a ~70% correction, with some work and testing multiple combinations we were able to yield about 90% correction on this classic. While not a full correction, it was a huge transformation and far beyond what the owner was expecting. Onto the pics! After its wash, we brought it inside to start claying. Bob claying Here I am claying on the other side Pics of wash induced marring and heavy swirls and RIDS Some super crazy RIDS. Kinda looks like fish bones to me.... Bob and I handling the front end. Myself working the GG 6" DA with the Megs cutting MF pad Bob working on those nasty RIDS 50/50 on the driver's fender Driver's door and quarter needed some help Door looking much better and the quarter followed soon after Bob corrected the roof as he has a few inches arm reach over me. Overhead shot for the cool factor Trunk was pretty rough too 50/50 shot Wheels polished to a much better shine. They really needed a full dismount and machine polishing, but that wasn't in the cards for this detail. Finished pics Bob giving the paint a final wipedown My favorite shot! Thanks for looking! Hope you enjoyed!
I took only a few pics as Jeff had this department handled nicely. As Jeff said we had a looooonnnnggg day, I got there early to meet with the client and get the wash going as Jeff was coming in from over 75 miles away. As you can see the car was in dire need and a full correction in my estimation would have took both of us two and a half days easy. Car looks nice and I hope the photo shoot went well that it was cleaned up for.
Awesome! Jeff and Bob killing it again! You guys are getting to work together a lot lately. It's pretty cool to have a go-to buddy you can trust to get a job done right! Agree. That last pic is magazine quality.
Mike I have been burned repeatedly in this area(having guys work with me) and to this point only Bing and Dave Saunders could do this(This sounds arrogant I know but they know their stuff and work accordingly) now when I was @ Sema we went to a get together Todd Cooperider put together and Jeff sat next to me and we talked, also I watched him closely over the days @ the show and told him "Maybe you can come to the shop and do some cars together" and I finally called him................and a few cars lately were a test to see if he could hang as the 57 Bel Air we took almost no break and I am used to this and done this my entire career but some "peter out" and are suprised the "Oldman" can work at this pace with a high level of quality and Jeff so far has done great. we have some nice jobs lined up to do and he now knows I only play a a-hole at times on the forums but have my feet on the ground (As in grounded) and walk the talk.
Awesome Jeff and Bob! She's ready for the show! Bob your work ethic is why I would refer people your way. Your handshake and word are your bond that you stand by with nothing else needed like paperwork and contracts, etc.
