How would people compare the LC CCS pads to the Sonus SFX pads?

 

I've only tried a Sonus pad once (a white one) and I wasn't all that impressed with it. It seemed to break apart and leave little pieces of pad everywhere.

If you prefer the Sonus pads though, they are on sale for $3 at eShine.

 

What is the optimal amount of pads, how many for each colour?

I don't know which and how many to order, so far I've only got 2 orange 5.5inches, 1 green 5.5 inches and a 4inch green CCS pad.

 

I use a lot of green, white and black on rotary details and I like orange and white on the DA.

I think a couple of whatever colors you are considering should be enough. That way you can rotate and switch off if they get dirty or dropped.

 

Oh, I only have a Porter Cable at the moment, but might be picking up a makita in the future, hopefully these pads would be interchangeable
