I've acquired a bulk amount of 3M Black Waffle Pads at 5.25 inches. These pads match up perfectly with the 3M Finesse-it backing plate. They finish down very nicely and are very smooth. I'm selling these at $3.50 plus shipping, which will be cheap as I'll ship out USPS. It should be in the ballpark of a dollar a pad to ship out, maybe less. Compared to other pads, I think this is a pretty good deal. Here is a picture for verification. They are velco-backed. I can take paypal as payment.
Ive been testing these pads since our NJ DB meet and I will say they are awesome! Buff very smooth and finish down excellent. The waffle design definitely helps in keeping the heat down. I will see if I can get a video up soon.
Just black pads for now. I'm in the process of seeing if I can get other kinds. I'll be getting the shipment in in the next week or so.
Kyle ... Just wanna make sure you got me down for 3 pads. I'll pm you later so I can get your paypal info.
On hold for a bit until he contacts me back. I figured it'd be this way during the holidays. I'll keep you posted.
I gotta let people know of what I found.. just to possibly help. This driving me nuts watching these be sold from "the guy", not the OP. In some heavy searching a few weeks ago I came upon a black foam pad miniature egg carton style face like these and like 3M brand basically sold though not labeled as 3M(as that would be false advertising) in some sort of Chinese manufacturing site. Upon further search its very clear to me that pads like these are basically copied for design and used. Those who have real legit 3M products can vouch that 3m ALWAYS labels its gear and supplies. I have older 3m pads, not new like these. The older 3m pads have almost like a molded stamp into the backing material, these do not. The new ones obviously have a printed painted design on the backing material There seem to be a couple types of foam being used to reproduce the 3M design too. One of them is black and has a texture similar to LC white(as far as sensory FEEL to it) and the other is softer like none of the LC pads, very different. The results compared to the real 3m pads and the copies floating around is also a very noticeable difference IMO You guys need to be aware that these may not be real 3M product only misrepresented and sold as such.. Not really fair for the guys buying some of these at 5 dollars+ a pop when other people are buying them, the copies, for cents and making a killing on an inferior and misbranded product. Shop 3M: 3M Perfect-it Hookit Foam Polishing Pad 05727, Waffle Face, 5 1/4 in Obviously once I find the copies site etc I will post that along with this.
